Cold meals

Most lunch and dinner options for backpacking trips, whether bought or homemade, are typically hot meals such as soups, pasta dishes, or stews. However, I’ve found that I often crave some variety and the option of cold meals on my hikes. That’s why I’ve started collecting recipes for dehydrated cold dishes that can be rehydrated with cold water. The advantage of these meals is that you don’t need gas or cooking equipment to prepare them. The only downside is that it takes longer for the food to rehydrate.
